Patient Voices Group (PVG)

The PVG was established in 2011 and has 12 members. They are a group of Volunteers, each focused on becoming a critical friend to East Lancashire Medical Services (ELMS), capturing and championing the views of Patients who access Urgent Care Services in Pennine Lancashire.

The membership of the PVG represents Patients from each health locality of the 540,000 patients ELMS services cover and they have worked tirelessly to embed the Patient views into the services which ELMS deliver.

Chair Russ McLean and members of the group have ignored their own personal and individual health problems and worked tirelessly as team unafraid of challenging the status quo, and acting a critical friend not only to ELMS staff, but to all the management teams who work in the health economy.
